Commercial Division Welcomes New Officers, Bids Farewell to Those Transferred
Judicial Officers and Staff of Commercial Court
The leadership of the Commercial Division on Friday November 3, 2023 evening held a farewell/welcome dinner at the Fairway Hotel.
The new officers at the Court include Hon. Lady Justice Patience Rubagumya, Deputy Registrar HW Catherine Agwero and the new Office Supervisor Angela Nakibombo.
The dinner also bid farewell to transferred officers, that is HW Juliet Harty Hatanga, the Deputy Registrar, who was transferred to the International Crimes Division of the High Court and Ms Joan Namukasa the former Office Supervisor.
The Head of the Commercial Division, Hon. Justice Stephen Mubiru commended HW Hatanga for the outstanding performance which has given the Court a great image in the public. He also thanked Ms Namukasa for her exemplary work at the Court.
Hon. Lady Justice Rubagumya on her part thanked Justice Mubiru for his open door policy. She extended gratitude to the Deputy Head of the Division, Hon. Lady Justice Anna Mugenyi for welcoming her to the Court and helping her settle in.
HW Hatanga thanked Justice Mubiru for his leadership and for being a good teacher to her during her tenure at the Commercial Division.
One of the highlights of the do was cake cutting and giving of gifts.
Hon. Lady Justice Cornelia Sabiiti, Hon. Justice Thomas Ocaya and select administrative staff of the Court attended the dinner.
